Little Baseball

I find myself working with baseball themed clients, websites, etc. these days; I’ve had this little placeholder icon laying around.

Power in Pictures

Baseball Operations

My good friend and fellow fraternity brother Dan Budrieka (@BudreikaStyle) has always been good to me, bringing back work from his Major League baseball friends. I forgot about this ole thing but here’s a little graphic I made, more than a year ago (and fresh out of University), for a presentation of his superior’s.

Lunchtime Doodle & Trace: Cool Runnings, mon!

Oi! What a movie..

Other favorite quotes:

  • “Sanka mon, whatcha smoking?” … “I’m not smoking, I’m breathing”
  • “Rise and shine!”… “Its butt-whippin time!”
  • “Sanka…. you dead?” … “Ya mon.”
  • “How ’bout I beat your butt right now? ” … “How ’bout I draw a line down the middle of your head so it looks like a butt?”
  • “You see Junior? Well, let me tell you what I see. I see pride! I see power! I see a bad-ass mother who don’t take no crap off of nobody!”

On Singing Songs for Way Too Long to Not Know the Words

Have you ever heard Reptar? Cool sounding band, I only know two of their songs at the moment [Listen to 'Stuck in My Id' and 'Sebastian']. If you listen to ‘Stuck in My Id’ then you’ll find this phrase in the chorus, errr kinda.. it seems I’ve been singing the wrong lyrics for months. So if anyone knows the correct word in this line ["I've been missing __blank___ing with you"] please correct me below!

But the idea of what I thought were the words was cool. I’m a big fan of the word plot as it could be positive, negative, mischievous, any descriptive type of planning and idea making. This always made me think about plotting and scheming, in the most fun of ways, with those who have been close to me in the past but are now far, by either geographical distance or communication in present time. To my sister Amy in Japan, to my best friends Anthony and Stevebird now in Chicago and Nashville, and to a few certain people in my past who I miss interacting with on a regular basis… I am missing plotting with you, and hopefully will at sometime be missing, plotting with you.

Thank you, WMCfest!

Okay, so the Weapons of Mass Creation Fest (version 3, 2012) was downright awesome. I saw loads of my design heroes, I saw my first unfiltered view of Cleveland, I saw inspiration in every attendee’s eyes. I will not pretend to instill thanks and wisdom as effectively as half of the people who already have (and have here: http://wmcfest.com/wmc3-memories/) but I will say that the 1st of the recap videos gave me positive butterflies and longing for next year’s, it was brilliant.

I just wanted to say to fellow Pittsburgher’s that Cleveland is AWESOME and you’d be wrong to let city rivalry fool you otherwise, also that my bike and my mug made the video!

Cheers to everyone involved, I’ll be among the first to registrants for years to come.
